Believe it or not this piece is only 3x4 inches big. This is my artist trading card. The purpose of this piece is to show my style as an artist. I was done in a typical process by my standards by using found papers, encaustic wax, and found objects, as well as a monochromatic color scheme. I can't help but describe this piece as cute, I guess because it's so small. And I'm I finally put my four leaf clover in a piece.

This assignment was to create two identical drawings and then to weave them together. I chose to draw grapes so that my piece could be realistic but contrasted in terms of color. After creating the two paintings, I decided to cut circles from one to weave into the other. I chose circles because I felt this would mimic the circles in the grapes and create pattern. I really like how this piece turned out but I feel like I can't add enough contrast.

The assignment for this piece was to focus on an image transfer and to make it unified with the rest of the piece. For te background of this piece I colored newspaper using watercolor. Next, I dripped watercolor from the top of the piece onto the foundation. I then added bubble wrap and encaustic wax drippings on top of the image transfer to complete the piece.

This is a drawing done in India ink with sticks. It was meant to be expressive with quick lines (which I could have improved on). The background was made from found paper cut into strips and then covered in a gesso and acrylic paint wash. This was an observational drawing based on a shelf in my garage.

This is a diptych that I wanted to be reflective in it's compostiton and opposite in it's colors. I used found papers for the foundation. The focal point was created using cardboard, lace, paint, and silk flowers. Encaustic drips and and string served as supportive elements for this piece.

This is another independent piece. I first took strips of found papers and arranged them in a frame-like pattern. I added gesso and paint on top of this. I made the flowers myself using newspaper, paint, and wire. I also added encaustic wax and string as well as bubble wrap to complete this piece. I like how it turned out, but if I could change one thing I would change the color scheme.

This was my erasure project based on a still life. It was done in charcoal. The process was to draw an object moving and erase the object as it progressed. I thought I did well on this project. I think the apple looks the most realistic. It was a challenge to draw the pearls especially three times.
